Miley's back with a new song titled Malibu from her upcoming studio album. This is the first song she's released in over a year so it's kind of a huge deal. Cyrus’ most recent release was 2015’s Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, a collaborative project with the Flaming Lips. In an interview with Billboard, Miley reported that she wrote all of the melodies and lyrics on the album along with multi-talented producer Oren Yoel on all the instruments. According to Billboard, the album features “one song for Hillary Clinton and another for women in the workplace.” The new sound you hear on the track may indicate a gentler, less confrontational Miley than we've seen in the past.
