With sustainability on everyone’s mind during this time, up cycling and vintage fashion has been on the rise over the past few months. Staying at the forefront of this marketing are my favorite retailers and designers below, who have kept creating and designing despite hurdles with quarantine life. Frankie Collective

Streetwear brand Frankie Collective is known for everything from reworking vintage Nike pieces into bikini tops, to custom Supreme collections. Founded by Sara Gourlay in Vancouver, they create pieces loved by both models and celebrities world-wide.

Sustainability is the main focus of Nicole McLaughlin’s creations, and she is a master up cycling artist. She can create new looks out of any material and incorporates every day objects into new, creative fashion pieces.

Tani’s Vintage Clothing

Created by Tanis Rose, Tali’s Vintage Clothing gives new life to vintage goods by reworking them into styles that are reminiscent of different decades. Her reworked sets are really such gems, and all feature excellent craftsmanship and handiwork.

Dimda

Japanese artist Dimda has amazing style. He is able to rework different fabrics and create new luxury goods from new and dyed materials.

Almost On Time

Almost On Time is a newcomer to the rework scene. The brand fashions creative corsets out of old Nike materials and is based out of San Francisco. They are planning on dropping new handmade pieces crafted from pre-loved clothing on Friday May 29th so mark your calendars accordingly.
